Job Summary
Oversee the production, preparation, and delivery of Meals on Wheels daily to nearly 1,000 individuals across Licking County by supervising 40 nutrition staff, including kitchen managers, nutrition managers, and delivery drivers. Manage the operational and financial responsibilities of a $1.2 million food service operation, establishing systems for food inventory, cost calculations, menu planning, and vendor contracts while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and agency regulations. Plan and assess quality control measures, provide staff training on food safety and service delivery, and handle emergencies as required. Prepare department budgets and personnel costs, and assist with administrative functions and kitchen duties when needed.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ohio Driver's License
- minimum auto insurance coverage for Ohio
- Five years of management or supervisory experience in a food service/restaurant environment
- Experience in home and community-based services in relation to home-delivered and congregate meals
- Demonstrated experience in process improvement, calculating food costs, managing food inventory
- Knowledge and experience managing and applying kitchen sanitation and safety standards and methods
- ServSafe certification
- Must successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug-screening

- Bachelor's degree in nutrition or dietetics
- Registered Dietitian
- Registered Dietetic Technician
- Experience with human services/social services client database
