Job Summary
Provide support for food service activities at Green Springs Elementary by preparing and serving food to students and staff, maintaining sanitary food prep and serving areas, and ensuring compliance with health standards. Responsibilities include arranging food and equipment for serving, attending trainings, cleaning utensils and spaces, inspecting items for quality and safety, inventory management of condiments and supplies, maintaining sanitary conditions in kitchen and cafeteria, monitoring safety, and performing duties of other nutritional services positions as needed. Requires effective verbal and written communication, basic math, ability to follow instructions, organization, confidentiality, and teamwork. Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years of food service experience, plus experience in a school district and operating equipment in a commercial kitchen.
