Job Summary
Prepare and serve food items to students and staff, arranging beverages and setting up equipment efficiently. Clean utensils, equipment, and storage areas to maintain sanitary conditions, while evaluating and inspecting food for quantity, quality, and compliance with health standards. Inventory supplies like napkins and silverware to meet projected menu requirements, and monitor kitchen and cafeteria areas for safety. Perform functions of other nutritional services positions as requested to ensure adequate staff coverage.

- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1-3 years working in the food service industry
- Experience working in a school district
- Understanding of food and facility safety and sanitation practices
- Experience operating equipment found in a commercial kitchen
- Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills
- Ability to perform basic math and understand multi-step written and oral instructions
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- High degree of motivation, responsibility, and confidentiality
- Demonstrated ability in compiling, organizing, and utilizing data
- Ability to problem solve with data and equipment
- Ability to work under direct supervision in a fast-paced work environment with constant interruptions
- Highly collaborative team player
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, etc.)
