Job Summary
Food Services Assistant (FSA) at Houston Methodist providing support across kitchen, patient tray line, and retail areas. Responsibilities include assembling patient trays, simple food preparation, serving customers, transporting food carts to patient care units/conference rooms, dishwashing, and maintaining sanitation per department policies. Communicates hazards and adheres to food safety and sanitation standards; works with peers and management to ensure timely, accurate delivery of meals and trays. Requires basic English communication and a Food Handlers Permit; prior food service experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Food Handlers Permit - TXDSHS or ANSI accredited training
- English language proficiency for safety and service
- Experience in a food service environment preferred
