Job Summary
Temporary, nights Food Services and Housekeeping Aide in Edmonton, AB. Duties include food preparation, cooking, baking, portioning and labeling food, cleaning kitchen areas and equipment, dishwashing, preparing meals, beverages, sandwiches, salads and snacks, peeling and chopping vegetables, assisting with meal services, and other site-specific duties; housekeeping duties include cleaning resident units, bathrooms, hallways and common areas, disinfecting, floor care, laundry, and restocking supply areas, plus addressing resident issues as required. Strong English communication and customer service skills are required; experience in food preparation/baking is an asset and serving in a dining room is preferred. Work is 30 hours per week on a 3-week rotating night shift schedule (11:59PM to 7:59AM). Pay is $19.62-$23.79 per hour. Location: Sakaw Terrace, Edmonton, AB, with in-person remote option. Required Qualifications
- Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal are required
- Experience in food preparation and baking is an asset
- Experience as a server in a dining room is preferred
- Strong customer service skills, including the ability to interact with everyone in a respectful manner
- Ability to read and follow standard recipes and work in a sanitary manner
- Ability to demonstrate responsible judgement in problem solving
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team
