Job Summary
Food Service Worker for the Tri-County Regional Centre for Education School Lunch Program. 3.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday, full-school-year term. Under the Lead Food Service Worker and School Lunch Program Lead, responsibilities include assisting in food preparation, serving meals to students and staff, performing cashier duties as needed, ensuring food safety and sanitation, assisting with inventory and waste control, and supporting school events. Requires completing a recognized food safety training program (or willingness to complete within 6 months), at least one year of related experience, strong interpersonal skills to engage diverse student populations, and the physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Must be able to work collaboratively with school leadership, staff, and provincial counterparts and maintain confidentiality. Non-Union position, Band 1 within the education compensation framework. Required Qualifications
- One (1) year experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities of the role
- Completion of a recognized food safety training program or willingness to complete within 6 months
- Demonstrate strong people skills
- Physically able to perform duties including heavy lifting (up to 50 lb) and standing for most of the day
- Ability to work collaboratively with leadership and school staff
