Job Summary
Prepare cold and hot food and beverage items in accordance with prescribed diets and recipes while maintaining sanitary conditions. Serve resident trays in the dining room and deliver prepared nourishments to nursing unit pantries at designated times. Handle food safely, sweep and mop food service areas, and manage inventory of supplies. Adhere to all facility policies, break times, and HIPAA requirements while providing excellent customer service to residents and staff. Full-time and part-time schedules available.
Required Qualifications
- Some High School Education
- Must have knowledge of all chemicals used in department
- Must be able to work well under pressure and be flexible
- Must have knowledge of handling knives and small kitchen equipment
- Must follow established safety guidelines and departmental policies
- Must adhere to all facility and department policies and procedures
- Must ensure all HIPAA requirements are adhered to
- Must maintain attendance record in accordance with facilities standards
- Must observe safe, economical and proper use of equipment and supplies
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a kitchen in a healthcare setting preferred but not required
- Excellent communication and organization skills
- Exemplary customer service skills
