Job Summary
Prepare and serve food while ensuring cleanliness and upkeep of assigned areas. Set up stations, maintain supplies, and present garnished food attractively. Assemble supplies for departments, stock pantries, and deliver trays to units. Wash patient dishes, trays, and equipment including slicers and fryers. Sweep, mop, and remove garbage throughout kitchen areas. Clean walk-in refrigerators and freezers. Document dish machine temperatures and adhere to state sanitation codes. Support utility positions including porter functions and operating the dish room. Stay current on health and safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Basic command of English language (speaking, reading, writing) and basic math skills required to ensure correct performance in duties, understanding and following instructions, dietary restrictions, etc for patient, resident and employee safety
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous working experience in fast paced environment preferred
