Food Service Worker

Supervise inmate labor and team members during food preparation and service shifts in the kitchen. Prepare, assist, or instruct staff in cooking quality foods according to planned menus, recipes, and work instructions while utilizing various utensils and machines. Ensure all food is stored properly in a sanitary manner and follow food safety regulations for sanitation, handling, and storage. Serve food during scheduled meals and maintain a clean work environment by cleaning refrigerators, equipment, floors, and performing dishwashing. Train other food service workers and promote a healthy, safe environment for employees and inmates. This role requires standing for extended periods and includes physical demands like lifting and bending. High School Diploma or GED required; prior institutional food service experience preferred.
