Food Service Worker

Supervise inmate labor and team members during food preparation and service shifts in a correctional facility kitchen. Prepare, assist, or instruct workers in cooking quality foods according to assigned menus, recipes, and work instructions while utilizing kitchen equipment and utensils. Ensure all food is stored properly and served according to department policies, following strict food safety regulations for sanitation and handling. Maintain a clean work environment by sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, and cleaning refrigerators, freezers, and cooking equipment. Train other food service workers and promote a healthy, safe environment for employees and inmates. This role requires standing for most of the shift, lifting, bending, and pushing, with availability for weekends and holidays.
