Food Service Worker

Supervise inmate labor and team members during food preparation and service shifts in the kitchen. Prepare, assist, or instruct staff in cooking quality foods according to menus, recipes, and work instructions while utilizing kitchen equipment to meet nutritional needs. Ensure proper food storage, sanitation, and adherence to food safety regulations. Serve food during planned meal schedules and maintain a clean environment by sweeping, mopping, dishwashing, and managing garbage collection. Train other food service workers and promote a healthy, safe work atmosphere. Requires a high school diploma or GED, age 18 or older, and ability to stand, lift, and work independently or as part of a team.
