Job Summary
Prepare and serve food and beverages, including washing, peeling, and cutting produce; making coffee and tea; and dishing portions onto trays. Perform sanitation duties by scraping, washing, and sorting dishes, cleaning kitchen equipment and counters, and sweeping floors. Assist management with inventory counts, receiving deliveries, and preparing documentation such as production sheets and sanitation records. Monitor and direct detainee workers in tray preparation and cleanup. Full-time position with competitive pay of $18.54/hour. Requires high school diploma and one year of food production experience in a commercial or institutional setting. Preferred qualifications include corrections/detainee management experience and prior correctional food service training.
