Job Summary
Prepare three full and boxed meals daily for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks, accommodating dietary requirements and special doctor's orders. Set up buffet tables, serve meals, and manage cleanup and dishwashing for all shifts. Rotate menus, stock chilled cabinets, and maintain a sanitary environment adhering to OSHA standards and federal regulations. Record temperatures for dish machines and refrigerators while ensuring safe kitchen practices. Maintain professionalism and respect toward residents, staff, and visitors at the Behavioral Health VA Medical Center Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Facility. Work Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm, with availability for Fridays, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Food Service experience within the past 1-2 years
- Current ServSafe Food Handler Certification
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must pass a Government Background Investigation & Fingerprinting
- Must have at least one form of Primary ID and one Secondary form of ID
- Must be capable of walking, bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, carrying, reaching above and below, and standing for long periods of time
- Must be capable of repetitive hand, wrist, and/or elbow motions
- Must be capable of lifting and lowering up to 50 pounds
