Job Summary
Serve high-quality food quickly and safely according to restaurant standards while providing exceptional guest service. Operate food preparation equipment including fryers, choppers, slicers, mixers, ovens, steamers, and various hand tools. Maintain up-to-date food handlers safety certification and demonstrate knowledge of allergens to serve guests with known allergies. Work a variable schedule that may include days, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events subject to short-notice changes. Stand for long periods and lift 25 lbs regularly. Team members are assigned to stations based on daily business needs, requiring flexibility in work assignments.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing
- Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members
- One year related food service experience
- A working knowledge of food preparation and presentation
- Good customer service skills
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs regularly
- Must maintain an up to date 'food handlers' safety certification
- Ability to learn to operate food preparation equipment, including: fryer, choppers, slicers, mixers, ovens, steamer and various hand tools including knives
- Is knowledgeable of allergens and is able to serve a guest with a known allergy
- Must be able to work a variable work schedule that may include days, nights, weekends, Holidays, special events; subject to change on short notice
Desired Qualifications
- Prior experience working in high volume, quick service food service setting
- Experience working in a collegiate setting
