Job Summary
Set up hot and cold food serving stations, serve properly sized portions, and communicate with cooks and supervisors when food runs low. Clean salad and beverage bars, tables, and floors; refill dispensers; cut pastries; and plate desserts. Operate automatic dishwashers, scrub pots and pans, and clean scullery grease traps. Sweep, vacuum, mop, and deck-scrub tile and concrete floors. Empty trash, clean windows and doors, and police grounds for debris. Comply with chemical training, maintain equipment functionality, and ensure proper PPE use. Work indoors with occasional travel to various locations and buildings in different weather conditions, including early morning, evening, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Must understand oral and/or written instructions.
- Must interact appropriately with customers, government personnel, and staff members.
- Must meet eligibility requirements for work assignment on specified contract(s).
- Must be able to pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
- Knowledge and willingness to learn all aspects of the job
- Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
- Will occasionally be required to lift or move up to 50 pounds
- May travel to and from various locations and buildings throughout the year and in various weather conditions
- May work with cleaning chemicals
- Will be required to follow Emergency Operations Work Assignment per customer requirements
- Schedules are subject to change
- May require working early morning, mid-morning, afternoon, and/or evening hours and weekends and holidays
- Will be required to bend, crouch, walk, climb stairs and ladders, reach above head, sit (to drive) and lift up to 40 pounds
- Will occasionally be required to lift or move up to 50 pounds
- May be required to remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas, using snow shovels or snow plows
