Job Summary
Prepare menu items by slicing, dicing, chopping, and mixing as assigned by Cook I, and perform simple one-step cooking tasks like scooping and baking cookies. Serve customers efficiently on serving lines during meal periods, maintaining proper flow rates and replenishing food items as required. Execute cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, washing dishes, operating dish machines, and clearing tray return mechanisms to ensure facility safety and compliance with food codes. Monitor food temperatures, manage waste disposal, and maintain walkway safety in winter conditions. Work Monday through Thursday from 7:00 AM to 2:00 PM for approximately 25-30 hours per week at a rate of $20.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Must maintain proper food safety and handling techniques per applicable food code and HACCP standards
- Responsible for following and enforcing proper safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Conduct duties in an orderly and professional manner and to standards of Southern Foodservice code of conduct
- Must follow direction of Cook I in carrying out duties and procedures as assigned
- Must maintain cleanliness and appearance of service line and areas during meal periods wiping up spills and maintaining a clean and neat appearance
- Clear service lines and thoroughly clean service lines and areas after meal service
- Perform other cleaning tasks assigned by Cook I, Shift Leader or Management
