Job Summary
Coordinate food and supplies for meal services and operate the dining area assigned; ensure HACCP-compliant food safety and sanitation, set up and break down serving lines, handle cash from guests, answer questions about ingredients and preparation, and maintain a positive dining environment. Requires ServSafe certification (within 60 days of hire), flexibility for nights/weekends, and essential personnel status in emergencies; strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- ServSafe certification is required. Must be able to obtain certificate within 60 days of hire
- Experience in an academic institution preferred
- Experience working with adolescents in an educational setting preferred
- Knowledge of food ingredients, including allergens, and preparation methods with guests
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and maintain high level of guest service
- Regular and consistent attendance with flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
