Job Summary
Assemble, portion, and deliver patient trays accurately while preparing late nourishments and catering events for coffee carts and luncheons. Operate the dish machine, wash pots and pans, and maintain clean storage areas by sweeping, mopping, and monitoring sanitizing solution concentrations. Serve customers at the West Hart Café, process cash transactions, and prepare simple food items like sandwiches and salads. Document food temperatures, ensure station readiness, and follow strict infection control and food safety protocols. Work flexible per diem shifts including 5:30a-2p, 6:30a-3p, 11:30a-8p, and 3p-8p.
Required Qualifications
- Basic computer literacy; must be able to read and respond to emails daily
- Must be able to organize and prioritize multiple demands
- Adhere to established hospital and Dietary policies, rules and regulations
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous food service, dietary, or customer service experience in a healthcare or hospitality environment preferred
- Familiarity with patient dietary restrictions and food safety guidelines is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and safety
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and supervisors
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions and work independently and collaboratively
