Job Summary
Assist manager with food/meal preparation; maintain cash receipts and meal records; assist manager in completing daily reports; maintain high standards of quality in food production, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices. Prepare quality food and baked goods according to a planned menu; verify transactions via daily reports; ensure proper storage of food in a sanitary manner; serve food according to meal schedules and department policies; use and care of kitchen equipment (especially knives); perform major cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and cooking/serving equipment; adhere to food safety regulations and uniform policy; coordinate with manager to understand daily menu and maintain a clean, organized work area; monitor food temperatures and safety; may be required to lift, bend, push/pull, and stand for extended periods; role may include PPE usage and potential changes in duties as needed. Required Qualifications
- Food Service Certificate as needed
- Sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions
