Job Summary
Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans; maintain product levels in preparation, serving, and storage areas; stock storage zones; clean dining, kitchen, and equipment spaces including spike rooms; remove garbage; set up and break down tables and serving lines; assist cooks with food preparation such as vegetables, entrees, coffee, sauces, and meats; and coordinate activities with other staff. Perform periodic large cleaning projects and assist with general maintenance duties. This part-time, non-rotational role requires Nome residents fluent in English who can obtain an Alaska Food Worker's Card within 30 days. Candidates should have some food service knowledge or one year of relevant experience.
Required Qualifications
- Must have some knowledge of food service or food preparation of a suitability for this type of work.
- Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing English.
- Must be able to obtain Alaska Food Worker's Card within 30 days of hire.
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Seeking to hire Nome residents.
Desired Qualifications
- At least one (1) year of work experience or documented vocational training sufficient to demonstrate a knowledge of cleaning equipment, food preparation, and general cleaning processes or a suitability for this type of work preferred.
