Job Summary
Oversee the inmate/detainee worker program by creating orientation forms, training workers, and assigning daily kitchen tasks while ensuring compliance with sanitation standards. Prepare and instruct on food preparation according to departmental standards, perform safety practices, manage deliveries and inventory, and order groceries as needed. Requires excellent communication, organization, and time management skills along with proficiency in Microsoft Office. Physical requirements include lifting, standing, and exposure to varied conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited senior high school or equivalent or GED.
- Wage-earning experience in correctional, commercial, or institutional food preparation service management or eighteen months of correctional custody or law enforcement experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in the supervision of employees or offenders preferred.
- Correctional or institutional food service experience preferred.
