Job Summary
Assist the Cook Supervisor with food preparation, set up serving lines, and follow standardized recipes while ensuring accurate portion counts. Maintain up-to-date time and temperature logs, comply with food safety documentation, and handle cash transactions accurately. Serve students and customers with a positive attitude, restock supplies, and clean and sanitize work areas using appropriate chemicals. Communicate shortages or equipment needs promptly, monitor food waste, and adhere to uniform and sanitary procedures including proper hand-washing. Ensure compliance with federal and state guidelines and HACCP policies while maintaining the smooth operation of the cafeteria.
Required Qualifications
- Basic mathematical skills
- Ability to communicate with supervisors, coworkers, and clientele
- Strong record of work performance in current and previous roles
- Successful completion of Criminal Records Check (C.O.R.I.), Sexual Offender Record Check (S.O.R.I.), and fingerprints
