Job Summary
Operate and maintain dietary food equipment while completing assigned functions within the Food and Nutrition Service department. Serve food and beverages to patients according to diet prescriptions, promote meal assistance, and verbally communicate patient concerns to clinical dietitians. Visit assigned floors for menu selections, deliver trays, and maintain accurate cash drawers and 100% compliance on record-keeping requirements. Perform daily and monthly cleaning, sanitize work areas, and control food waste while troubleshooting equipment and supplies. Train new employees on workflows and maintain floor par stocks. Resolve customer complaints politely and greet patients with a helpful demeanor.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of previous food service experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Medium Work - Exerting up to 50 lbs. for force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. of force frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs. of force constantly to move objects
- Occasional balancing, climbing, crouching, grasping, hearing, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, standing, stooping, visual acuity (color, depth, perception)
- Frequent typing/clerical/dexterity, seeing/monitor/computer use, talking
- Constant walking
- Occasional bodily fluids/bloodborne exposure, burns, chemical
- Occasional noise, wet and/or humid, mists, odors
- Travel from time-to-time, but not on a regular basis
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED, preferred
