Food Service Worker I

Perform tasks in support of a clean, orderly kitchen and assist with cleaning dishes, preparing food trays for patients and residents, maintaining sanitation and infection control per established procedures, and stocking kitchen and café areas. Responsibilities include operating the cash register, processing payments, assisting with catering requests, delivering and serving foods in the Fireweed café, and ensuring dining areas are clean throughout service. Participate in stock and inventory management, unloading deliveries, and keeping storerooms organized. Work as part of a team with strong communication and time-management skills, and follow policies and procedures while maintaining patient/customer confidentiality. Requirements include High School Diploma, Alaska Food Handlers Card within 30 Days, and ServSafe Certification.
