Job Summary
Serve school meals to students and faculty while performing general food preparation and kitchen cleanup operations in the school kitchen and cafeteria. Maintain thorough knowledge of sanitation and safety requirements for handling food and operating equipment, utilizing substantial knowledge of meal preparation systems. Coordinate regularly with appropriate personnel to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of interdepartmental operations. Requires high school graduation or GED and some food service experience. Schedule is school term only with varying weekly hours.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from High School or possession of a GED
- Some experience in food service
- Thorough knowledge of sanitation and safety requirements for handling food and operating equipment
- Substantial knowledge of meal preparation systems
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work
