• •Comfortable operating an oven, stovetop, can opener, microwaves, garbage disposal, dishwasher
• •Must follow safety and sanitation procedures including wearing uniform, hairnet, and sturdy non-ski shoes
• •Must be very safety conscious
• •Must be physically able to work in a standing position for prolonged periods
• •Must be able to walk much of the time during the day
• •Must be able to work in warm surroundings
• •Must have manual dexterity to handle knives and other pieces of kitchen equipment
• •Must be able to lift materials weighing between 40 and 50 lbs
• •Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, and lift
• •Must be able to close vision, color vision, and adjust focus

• •Must be able to process SNAP transactions
• •Must be able to process daily cash reconciliation reports
• •Must be able to maintain good public relations with students, parents, faculty and the community

• •Must be able to control food and supply costs with proper handling, rotation and storage techniques
• •Must be able to organize own work under the direction of their supervisor
• •Must be able to follow policies and procedures established by the Food Service Department

• •Must be able to perform garbage detail procedures including area around dumpster
• •Must be able to maintain standards of sanitation and safety while working with dishwashers

• •Must be able to assist in all District buildings as needed
• •Must be able to complete a Food Service Sanitation course after ninety (90) days of employment

• •Must be able to complete the applied food service sanitation, fundamentals of child nutrition and principles of food preparation courses
