Job Summary
Monitor phones and customers while assisting the cook, cleaning patient carts, and setting up meal trays. Keep the dish room organized, maintain kitchen areas, and restock supplies as needed. Complete daily task sheets and report equipment failures. Wear protective personal equipment and use chemicals appropriately. Participate in department performance improvement programs and utilize attendance systems per guidelines. Primarily eight-hour shifts with days, evenings, and weekends; call-in status required for coverage. Full-time benefits include medical, dental, vision, LTD, and a 403(b) retirement plan.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions, including basic computer use
- Must meet all local health regulation requirements including a criminal background investigation and reference inquiry
- High School Education or equivalent
- Must be an energetic, team-player who is dependable
- Must have a flexible schedule
- Days, Evenings, and Weekend shifts may vary
- Primarily eight (8) hour shifts
- May work weekends, holidays and a call in status are required to provide coverage
- Hours and shifts may change or rotate to provide coverage and perform the necessary duties
- Each applicant to whom an offer of employment has been made will be required as a condition of employment to undergo a substance test
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of commercial kitchen supplies and equipment preferred
- Previous medical center tray-aide experience preferred, including knowledge of sanitation
- Healthcare Food Service experience desired but not required
