Job Summary
Prepare, cook, and serve meals to inmates while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in kitchen and dining areas. Follow all safety and security guidelines specific to a correctional facility setting, manage inventory of kitchen supplies, and report shortages. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient meal service, perform routine cleaning of kitchen equipment, and adhere to strict protocols. This role requires working weekends as needed with a 1p-9p shift. Competitive pay of $16.00 per hour, paid weekly.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to work in a correctional environment following strict safety and security protocols
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to pass an extensive background check
- Will be working weekends as needed
- Shift will be 1p-9p
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is a plus
