Job Summary
Food Service Worker responsible for preparing food according to facility menu with adherence to safety procedures. Duties include preparing food per recipes, maintaining clean work areas, transporting food between sites, checking and logging temperatures, reporting equipment issues, recording production quantities, receiving orders and inventory, serving food to clients and staff, washing dishes, and promoting CLAS Standards. Role supports a behavioral health organization with facilities in Arizona; benefits include medical/dental/vision, 401(k) match, PTO/holidays, tuition reimbursement, and more. Requires one year of commercial kitchen experience, completion of required food service training within 30 days, CPR/First Aid within 90 days, and negative TB test within 12 months; must be able to lift up to 60 pounds and work in a kitchen environment with heat/cold exposure.
Required Qualifications
- One year experience as a cook in a commercial kitchen
- Must complete food service worker training within 30 days of hire
- CPR/First Aid certification within 90 days of hire
- Negative TB Test results within the last 12 months
- Demonstrated knowledge of food safety procedures
- Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state and local regulations and requirements
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
