Job Summary
Prepare raw foodstuffs and cook, assemble, and serve menu items according to recipes and specifications. Stock and organize the kitchen area, clean and maintain cooking utensils and service areas, and coordinate with the kitchen team while following the lead of the Culinary Lead. Interact with scholars, teachers, and parents to provide excellent service and alert the Culinary Lead of any workplace problems. This role requires flexibility, a strong work ethic, and the ability to lift 50 lbs in a higher education setting. Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of food or customer service experience/training in a mid-high volume food service facility or restaurant
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and level headedness
- Punctual and able to adhere to the time and attendance policy
- Able to climb stairs and lift up 50 lbs
- Interest in and committed to Genuine Foods' mission to use food to help students enhance their minds, bodies and happiness
- Must be able to work in a school environment
- Must be flexible & team-oriented
