Job Summary
Prepare and maintain daily records, inventories, invoices, and deficiency reports. Participate in meal preparation, including menu planning, ordering, cooking, serving, cashiering, and clean-up while following approved menus and standardized recipes. Manage daily revenues by performing drawer cash counts and recording monies. Use computer systems including Point of Sale software, email, and web browsing. Immediately report any kitchen or cafeteria accidents to the Kitchen Manager or Food Service Director. Adhere to federal, state, and local food safety regulations, USDA child nutrition rules, and district policies. Attend meetings and trainings as directed. Complete mandatory compliance courses annually.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Computer knowledge and possess basic academic skills
- Prior experience as a food service employee
- Knowledge of state and federal nutritional regulations
- Physically capable of performing all job duties that may include but not limited to: standing, stooping, stretching, and moving heavy items, and equipment
- Ability to lift 30-50 pounds
- Good character, courtesy, efficiency, cleanliness, and commitment to the welfare of the student
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Favorable current State (BCII) and Federal (FBI) background checks
- Enrollment in Ohio Rapback System
- Negative drug screen
- Punctual and capable of completing all duties, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Completion of all mandatory compliance courses assigned annually
