Job Summary
Prepare quality food according to tested recipes and serve meals while maintaining portion control and proper use of leftovers. Store and handle food items safely, keeping storage areas clean and organized. Operate standard kitchen equipment such as slicers, mixers, and fryers while following prescribed safety standards. Maintain personal hygiene, keep garbage areas sanitary, and promptly report unsafe conditions to a supervisor. Work inside a commercial kitchen environment with frequent interruptions and exposure to extreme temperatures and biological hazards.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to understand written and verbal food preparation and safety instructions
- Working knowledge of kitchen equipment and food production procedures
- Ability to operate large and small kitchen equipment and tools
- Ability to perform basic math
- Must be able to lift 15–44 pounds
