Job Summary
Food Service Technician in a school cafeteria responsible for receiving, storing and preparing meals and snacks, adhering to federal/state/local guidelines, and ensuring sanitation and safety. Provides customer service, may travel for meetings/trainings, maintains a clean workspace, handles food and supplies, documents temperature/sanitation checks, orders food and supplies, ensures proper portioning, manages dishwashing, can operate a cash register, and may work independently. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and Certified Professional Food Manager certification (to be obtained by the start of the second school term); Illinois Food Handler card or ability to obtain within 30 days; minimum 1 year experience in cashiering/customer service preferred; bilingual Spanish/English preferred.
Required Qualifications
