Job Summary
Supervise inmate labor and team members during food preparation and service shifts in the kitchen. Prepare, assist, or instruct staff in cooking quality foods according to assigned menus, recipes, and work instructions while utilizing various utensils and machines. Ensure all food is stored properly in a sanitary manner and follow food safety regulations regarding sanitation, handling, and storage. Serve food during planned meal schedules, maintain a clean work environment including equipment and floors, and train other food service workers. This role requires standing for extended periods and includes physical demands such as lifting and bending. Available to work Sun-Thur 9am to 5pm, with some weekends and holidays. Required Qualifications
- Must be available to work some weekends and holidays
- High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
Desired Qualifications
- Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience is preferred
