Job Summary
Supervise inmate labor and team members during food preparation and service shifts, ensuring all work follows assigned menus, recipes, and work instructions. Prepare, assist, and instruct staff in cooking and serving food while utilizing kitchen equipment to meet nutritional needs. Maintain a sanitary environment by storing food properly, cleaning refrigerators, sweeping floors, and managing garbage collection. Train other food service workers and promote a safe work environment for employees and inmates. Work five days per week with a 10:30 am to 6:15 pm schedule, including weekends and holidays. This role requires standing for extended periods and involves physical demands such as lifting and bending.
Required Qualifications
- Must be available to work some weekends and holidays
- 5 days per week
- Closer: 10:30am - 6:15pm
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED and/or equivalent experience

- Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience is preferred
- Passionate about food and service
