Job Summary
Direct and supervise all activities in the deli and food service department, ensuring goals for merchandising, sales, and guest service are met. Responsibilities include selecting, onboarding, and scheduling staff, taking guest orders, overseeing food safety standards, and ensuring high-quality service in the preparation and merchandising of food items. Must effectively communicate with store management, maintain adequate stock levels, and complete necessary paperwork. Experience in a managerial role within a fresh food environment is preferred, alongside a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old
- Must have reliable transportation and an active driver's license
- Must have the ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Work in walk-in coolers and freezers
- Stand for long periods of time, bend and twist below waist, and frequently lift and/or maneuver merchandise and supplies
- Be dexterous enough with hands and fingers to use necessary equipment, including knives, slicers, burners, ovens, fryers and rotisseries
Desired Qualifications
- Serv-safe certification preferred
- 2 years prior experience in a fresh food's environment preferably in a managerial role
- Vocational or Technical Education
