Job Summary
Supervise and direct all activities of the deli/food service department, ensuring achievement of merchandising, sales, and customer service goals. Responsibilities include onboarding and coaching team members, scheduling staff, engaging with customers, taking orders, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, managing inventory, and ensuring quality of food service items. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years of experience in a fresh foods environment, preferably in a management role.
Required Qualifications
- Previous food service management experience (2 years minimum)
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
Desired Qualifications
- Serv-Safe certification preferred
- Desire to learn new products and recipes
- A love of foods and a creative nature
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 25lbs on occasion
- Must be able to work in walk-in coolers and freezers
