Job Summary
The Food Service Supervisor oversees front-line staff to ensure safe, efficient restaurant operations, quality food, and adherence to A&W standards and provincial regulations. Responsibilities include supervising and scheduling staff, ensuring food safety and sanitation, balancing labor costs with service efficiency, maintaining documentation, onboarding and coaching team members, addressing performance issues, and supporting inventory, cash handling, and cost-control tasks. Requires secondary school completion, a related diploma or equivalent experience, and FOODSAFE Level 1 (Level 2 preferred); 3+ years in food preparation and supervisory experience favored. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions.
Required Qualifications
- Secondary School Certificate or equivalent
- Community college diploma in food service, hospitality, or restaurant management, or equivalent experience
- FOODSAFE Level 1 required; Level 2 preferred (or provincial equivalent)
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
