Job Summary
Responsible for directing and supervising activities in the deli and food service department to meet merchandising, sales, and guest service goals. Key responsibilities include selecting, onboarding, and coaching new team members, managing schedules, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation guidelines, overseeing product preparation and merchandising, and maintaining inventory. Requires effective communication with store management and knowledge of food service operations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- At least 18 years old
- 2 years prior experience in a fresh food environment
- Must have reliable transportation and an active driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Work in walk-in coolers and freezers
- Stand for long periods and frequently lift merchandise
- Dexterity with hands and fingers to use equipment
Desired Qualifications
- Serv-safe certification preferred
- Experience in a fresh foods environment preferable in managerial role
