Job Summary
As a Food Service Supervisor/Deli Lead, you will be responsible for directing and supervising deli and food service department activities to achieve merchandising, sales, and guest service goals. Key responsibilities include selecting, on-boarding, and coaching new team members; scheduling staff; ensuring compliance with food safety guidelines; managing inventory; and overseeing the preparation of food items. Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, a minimum of 2 years of experience in a managerial role within a fresh food environment, reliable transportation, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, is essential.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- At least 18 years old
- 2 years prior experience in a fresh food environment preferably in managerial role
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have an active driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in walk-in coolers and freezers
- Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend and twist below waist
- Dexterity with hands and fingers for using necessary equipment including knives and slicers
Desired Qualifications
- Serv-safe certification preferred
