Job Summary
Substitute cafeteria workers needed for the 2026-2027 school year to support lunch service and food-preparation duties. Responsibilities include assisting with lunch meal preparation (sandwich making, bagging, fruit cup, salad and vegetables), setting up and serving lunch, breaking down and cleaning serving lines, restocking serving lines, washing dishes, sweeping and mopping floors, putting away stock and non-food supplies, and performing other duties as assigned. Requires basic knowledge of safe food handling and kitchen sanitation, good communication, teamwork, multitasking, customer service orientation, ability to lift up to 50 lb repeatedly, and the ability to read and perform mathematical equations. A HS diploma or equivalent and successful BCI/FBI background clearance are required. Starting pay is $13.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- HS diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lb. repetitiously
- BCI/FBI Background Clearance
- Basic knowledge of Safe Food handling and kitchen sanitation
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
- Must be able to work as a team
- Must be able to multi-task
- Must be customer service oriented
- Must be able to read and perform mathematical equations
