Job Summary
Prepare nutritious, appetizing meals for students and staff while operating the computerized point of sales system. Assist in the cleanup of the kitchen, dishwashing room, and dining area, ensuring all government and district regulations are met. Foster the Christian uniqueness of the learning community by maintaining required trainings from the State of Iowa, Archdiocese, and local site. This part-time role (under 30 hours) supports Xavier Catholic Schools' mission of forming disciples unafraid to follow Jesus Christ.
Required Qualifications
- High school education or GED
- Ability to write, read and comprehend simple instructions and correspondence
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community
- Ability to effectively perform essential functions independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of employment and student matters
- Ability to use good judgment and effective problem-solving skills
- Demonstrate initiative, ingenuity, flexibility, and desire to expand personal knowledge and skill set
- Preferably a practicing Catholic who lives the Gospel values
- Enthusiastic supporter of Catholic faith and schools
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision
