Job Summary
Provide friendly, responsive service in a clean and safe environment while assisting with meal preparation and cafeteria duties for students. Responsibilities include complying with policies and guidelines, assisting the cook, keeping a clean work area, cashier duties, transporting meals to satellite kitchens, and serving meals to Preschool through 6th grade. Candidates must possess basic cooking skills, be respectful of diverse backgrounds, and have a food handler’s card.
Required Qualifications
- Successful completion of all interviews, background check, drug testing and fingerprint requirements.
- Submission of all employee related documents, and forms free of false, misleading and/or incomplete information.
- Sensitivity and respect for people of various backgrounds, cultures, experiences, and socio-economic situations
- Basic cooking and cleaning skills
- Ability to work in a standing position for up to eight hours a day
- Know basic math skills
- Must have food handler’s card
Additional Requirements
- Hair must be styled in a way that it is restrained and away from the face, fingernails must be short and trimmed, and artificial nails are allowed while working but must be short and trimmed.
- Must always wear skid proof shoes in kitchen.
- Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift to 40 pounds.
