Job Summary
Food Service Manager I at a school site: oversee day-to-day food service operations, ensure compliance with District, State, and federal nutrition, sanitation, safety, and record-keeping requirements; supervise, schedule, train, and evaluate food service personnel; manage budgets, inventory, procurement, and meal production records; coordinate with School Nutrition Director and stakeholders; handle cash transactions and deposits; coordinate catered events and align operations with school activities.
Required Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- three years experience in food service operations
- Must complete training course for certification of beginning school food service personnel as prescribed in 702 KAR 6:045
- Must complete and present certification of food handlers card
