Job Summary
Monitor daily kitchen and cafeteria activities while assisting with implementing serving schedules and food service procedures. Supervise food service assistants, evaluate their performance, and resolve employee-related issues including conflict resolution. Maintain compliance with HACCP guidelines, health codes, and National School Lunch Program requirements by enforcing cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards. Manage inventory, equipment maintenance, and financial records, ensuring accurate payroll documentation and report filing. Work on multiple campuses throughout the district, adhering to daily attendance and punctuality policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (recognized by the Texas Education Agency or a regional accrediting agency)
- Food Handlers Certification from an (ANSI) American National Institute Standards accredited program
- Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check
- Willing to travel throughout the district and work on different campuses from day to day
Desired Qualifications
- 1+ year school district food service experience
- Supervisory experience
- Ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish
