Job Summary
Lead the dietary department in an inpatient rehab hospital as Food Service Manager, overseeing menu development, food procurement, staff management, scheduling, training, and quality assurance to ensure safe, nutritious, and culturally appropriate meals; collaborate with the Registered Dietitian to tailor therapeutic diets and maintain HIPAA-compliant patient privacy while coordinating with nursing, therapy, and administration for seamless patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Hold a current ServSafe Manager Certification or equivalent food safety certification
- An associate or bachelor’s degree in culinary arts, nutrition, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum of three years of experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of therapeutic diets, food allergies and intolerances, and cultural and religious dietary restrictions
