Job Summary
Manage the elementary school food service operation, supervise 4-9 employees, plan menus and ensure adherence to Federal guidelines and health standards. Oversee inventory, ordering, cash handling, and daily reporting; coordinate with principal and teachers; promote student nutrition programs and strive to increase meal participation. Requires strong supervisory and interpersonal skills, plus relevant certifications (Food Handler Permit, ServSafe, School Nutrition). Maintain quality service and compliance with health, sanitation, and safety standards; monitor equipment performance and energy temperatures; and train staff to deliver efficient meal service.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years of related experience
- Successful completion of District Manager Intern Training
- Food Handler Permit
- ServSafe Certification
- School Nutrition Certification
- Knowledge of Food Service software programs and Federal Guidelines
