Job Summary
Food Service Manager responsible for the daily operation of school cafeterias, supervising staff, planning menus to meet reimbursable meal requirements, ensuring safe and sanitary kitchen conditions, and maintaining compliance with state and federal guidelines. Responsibilities include directing and training staff, managing supplies and equipment, overseeing food deliveries, ensuring proper portioning and serving to students and staff per USDA/state guidelines, maintaining records, and performing related administrative duties. Typical qualifications include a high school diploma (GED preferred) and manager certification from ADE Child Nutrition; supervisory experience in school food service is a plus. The role is full-time, 190-day contract, non-exempt, and based in Bryant High School, Bryant School District.
