Job Summary
Food Service Lead responsible for guiding front-of-house operations at the Detroit Zoo location. Lead duties include ensuring adequate stocking, prep, and staffing for daily service; assist Supervisors to keep restaurant and other food locations running smoothly; participate in daily safety, quality, and merchandising standards; maintain sanitation, hygiene, glove use, and uniform standards; respond to guest and client feedback with proper reporting; stay knowledgeable on menu items, prices, and specials; communicate issues to Restaurant Supervisor/Operations Manager; support daily prep and item lists; maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment; promote SSA Group’s 452 Hospitality culture and inclusive practices; overtime may be applicable. Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a team-first attitude; ability to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of food service experience preferred
- All educational backgrounds are eligible
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Flexible in fast-paced environment
- Team player capable of initiative
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift 10-35lbs
