Food Service Lead

Job Summary
Lead and supervise a team of kitchen staff during shifts, overseeing daily food service operations, ensuring high-quality, safe food preparation and customer service. Manage on-shift training, task assignment, and issue resolution; monitor food safety compliance, temperatures, inventory, and FIFO; ensure timely, accurate order preparation and presentation; oversee customer inquiries and maintain positive service experiences; drive operational efficiency, reduce waste, and complete shift reports. Collaborate with the Food Service Manager/Store Manager and support cash handling and closing duties as needed. Maintain high standards of food quality, safety, and cleanliness in a fast-paced kitchen environment; communicate effectively with staff and customers; identify improvement opportunities for efficiency and service quality. Food Handler Certification and ServSafe are preferred but not required at hire, with emphasis on leadership, safety, and guest satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of experience in a food service environment
- Familiarity with food safety regulations
